Join Us For a Unique "Hearing Voices" Simulation Training in Recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month
At NAMI Fox Valley, we are committed to fostering understanding and empathy for individuals living with mental health conditions. In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite you to participate in one of our upcoming "Hearing Voices" simulation trainings. These powerful and educational trainings provide unique insight into the daily challenges faced by those who experience auditory hallucinations.
About the Hearing Voices Simulation
Developed by NAMI Wisconsin and utilizing Pat Deegan’s “Hearing Distressing Voices” recording, the "Hearing Voices" simulation is designed to deepen understanding and challenge stereotypes about individuals who experience auditory hallucinations. Through this immersive experience, participants will gain valuable insight into the realities of living with schizophrenia or other mental health conditions that involve auditory hallucinations. The goal is to foster empathy and break down stigma.
This training is ideal for mental health professionals, family members, educators, students, and anyone looking to develop a deeper sense of empathy for those experiencing auditory hallucinations.
